Iain Mackay is the Technical Director at Sybarite, bringing over twenty-five years of experience delivering complex retail, mixed-use and masterplanning projects across the UK, Europe and Asia. Having played a key role in the growth of the practice, he has led the technical delivery of landmark projects including SKP Beijing, the award-winning SKP Chengdu masterplan, Ferrari‘s flagship stores in Maranello and Milan, and the transformation of Fenwick Newcastle. He combines technical expertise with a pragmatic approach to project leadership, guiding multidisciplinary teams from concept through to implementation.

Alongside project delivery, Iain oversees technical quality, resource planning and design coordination across the studio’s international portfolio. Known for his calm disposition and meticulous attention to detail, Iain believes technical excellence should support creativity rather than constrain it. His work is defined by a commitment to quality, precision and the faithful realisation of design intent.
