ABOUT THE ROLE
Overview
The Communications Assistant plays a crucial role in enhancing Sybarite’s visibility through content creation and relationship building. Working directly with the Communications Director and collaborating with the Marketing Manager and Head of Brand Image, you will support marketing and new business development efforts by managing various digital and print assets.
Requirements
- Write, schedule, and post content across Sybarite’s social media channels in line with the annual PR Road Map.
- Develop and create engaging content, working closely with the team to explore new approaches and innovative strategies.
- Assist in producing reports to monitor and demonstrate performance.
- Collaborate with the Communications Director and internal stakeholders to manage content from conception to implementation.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions with the team and develop content ideas.
- Support in producing creative briefs for both internal and external creative teams and agencies.
- Organise the social media calendar to align with campaigns and budget.
- Assist with brand asset management, copywriting for portfolios, pitches, case studies, and staff biographies as needed.
- Research and contribute to Sybarite Insights and the Sybarite Bulletin.
- Support the Communications Director in drafting project design statements and awards applications.
- Collaborate with the Head of Brand Image to write SEO copy for the Sybarite website.
- Research and assist with keynotes and presentations for the founders.
- Write and manage staff biographies, ensuring a consistent tone of voice.
- Stay updated on trends and news in the luxury market.
- Work with the Junior Graphic Designer to maintain graphics and visual content.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and marketing.
- Strong attention to detail, maintaining the Sybarite tone of voice.
- Creative with a knack for storytelling and clear communication of ideas.
- Passionate about social media, communications, and design, ideally with 3+ years in a design agency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good visual and graphic sense.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, able to handle multiple deadlines.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage a busy workload.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and willing to get involved in a variety of activities.
- Understanding of architecture, design, fashion, luxury retail, and experiential culture.
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe XD) and social media planning tools.
- Experience maintaining CRM databases.
- Strong verbal and visual attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ongoing commitment to staying updated with social media trends and emerging platforms.
