Beijing Kitchen
Beijing Kitchen is a contemporary fine dining restaurant located on the 11th floor of SKP Xi’an created by renowned Chef Ku Chi-fai of Hong Kong, offering over 200 covers and 8 private rooms over 1,500m2. The design and layout are inspired by Xi’an’s streetscape and urban structure.
The expansive restaurant is framed with bespoke screening, crafted in natural green onyx, reeded textured glass outlined in brushed brass. These carve the space into intimate zones and subdivisions. Large upholstered circular feature discs in teal are suspended from the ceiling and echoed directly beneath with smaller rings of brass and inset lights. This jewel-like juxtaposition is designed to counteract acoustic challenges as well as offering a sense of privacy and of division, with their purposeful rhythmic placement above each table setting.
The premise of the layout is that diners have a direct view into the kitchen so that they can be part of this dynamic culinary theatre experience. Every detail has been designed so that the surroundings complement and are in harmony with the unique and exquisite dishes on offer.
