Cousteau
Sybarite created a contemporary dining experience in shades of blue reminiscent of coastal landscapes and bringing a slice of Mediterranean culture and authentic cuisine to SKP department store for its discerning clientele.
Sybarite were responsible for every aspect of the restaurant, commencing with the tapas style menu and the brand identity. The brushed brass Cousteau signage is of Deco origin, suggestive of old-world heydays in the French and Italian Riviera. This is accompanied by a circular signature logo of a curved lobster form alluding to Cousteau’s fresh fish counter and their ‘catch of the day’. A further six graphic variants were developed for menus and business cards as an all-over repeat monogram pattern which decoratively combines the linearity of the logo with the circularity of the signature stamp.
The colour palette ranges from refreshing mint-blue to restful blue-grey. A mix of marble and mosaics, leather and velvet are enhanced by warm metallics. The entire backdrop is a draped wave effect captioned in brass.
In addition to the interior design and architecture, Sybarite defined the tableware and relaxed Breton style denim uniforms.
