ABOUT THE ROLE
Overview
Sybarite is embarking on a period of transformative change around an expanding portfolio of large-scale luxury international retail projects located (ranging from 150,000 – 800,000 sqm) from Concept Design to completion.
The BIM coordinator will provide technical support directly to project team members and report to the project lead, providing feedback on the team’s requirements for training, workflows or content. Core responsibilities of the BIM coordinator will span from initial project setup, maintaining project BIM models and associated project BIM support documents, performing BIM coordination exercises and training project team members. Additional responsibilities include monitoring the performance and quality levels of BIM models and ensuring they satisfy the prescribed project-specific BIM requirements and Sybarite BIM standards.

About You
- Degree in architecture or architectural technology, with Revit exam-based certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a BIM coordinator on large-scale projects, including international and complex schemes
- Advanced technical knowledge of Autodesk Revit (including related software and plugins), BIM360, legacy CAD applications and practices
- Advanced ability to integrate complex Rhino geometries into Revit and manage Rhino/Revit workflows
- Create and manage project-specific families, including the development and maintenance of the practice BIM library
- Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of BIM models issued to consultants
- Provide assistance with clash detection processes and coordinate resolution strategies
- Develop and implement Dynamo scripts and automation tools to support project teams in day-to-day tasks
- Identify opportunities for improving BIM workflows and to review project files for risks, inefficiencies, and potential hazards
- Deliver training in relevant workflows and software packages, both individually and in group workshops
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and guidance for BIM workflows, standards, and practice-wide protocols
- Contribute to bid-stage discussions, advise on BIM implementation at project kick-off, and support negotiations of BIM deliverables in contracts
- Define the scope of services for the BIM coordinator role in collaboration with project architects
- Author, maintain, and coordinate the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and other collaborative documents to ensure clear communication between consultants
- Strong personal attributes: organised, detail-oriented, proactive, flexible, motivated, with a “can-do” attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
