EXPLORING THE FUTURE OF AIRPORTS WITH THE UK DEPARTMENT FOR BUSINESS, INNOVATION, SCIENCE AND TRADE
Sybarite hosted a special morning session at its London studio as part of the Airport Executive Training Programme, organised by the UK Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (DBIST) Aviation Team. The session welcomed a delegation of senior representatives from airports and aviation organisations across China for an exchange of perspectives on the future of airport design, commercial planning and passenger experience.
Sybarite Director Aldo Sanzo and Dimitris Argyros, Technical Director at Haptic Architects, shared perspectives and international airport case studies, followed by a panel discussion with Celine Tang, Retail Sector Lead at the China-Britain Business Council, alongside Sybarite’s Xiaowan Shen, Senior Designer, and Chengli Cai, New Business Manager.
Moving from changing consumer expectations and international best practice to the relationship between operational efficiency, commercial value and passenger experience, the discussion considered how airports can evolve as both highly complex infrastructure and increasingly human-centred places.
Bringing together expertise from across the UK and China, the session created an opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from different markets and open up new conversations around the partnerships and cross-industry thinking shaping the airports of tomorrow.
