SOUND OF LIFE: CURIOUS CREATORS SERIES

Earlier this year, Simon Mitchell was invited by Henrietta Thompson for Sound of Life (a KEF project) to give an interview for a series exploring the reaches of sound and its influence on craftsmanship, creativity and beyond entitled ‘Design Propelled By A Dynamic Dialogue’.

“As co-founders of design and architecture studio Sybarite, Simon Mitchell and Torquil McIntosh work wonderfully in tandem. Yet, the music driving their creativity differs like night and day.” soundoflife.com

“We are complete opposites but we find his love affair for one style of music and my love affair for another style echoes the design ethos in our design company where the blend of the two together generates the best idea. Using sound to inspire our designs is something that we use all the time.” Simon Mitchell

To see Simon’s contribution and the full series featuring creative voices including Thomas Heatherwick, Deyan Sudjic, Morag Myerscough, Janet Laurence, Paul Priestman and Fusion Wayang Kulit, visit here.
