Pink Shirtmaker London
Working with LVMH, Sybarite developed the new retail concept and identity for Pink Shirtmaker, which curates a sense of storytelling that coincides with their acquisition of the heritage brand and marks a rebirth. The strategy was to move the conventional British shirtmaker into a new era embracing the modern gentleman.
Architecture and visual merchandising are inspired by the linearity of pattern making, sketching and the journey through the creative design process. This is realised in the juxtaposition of lines that punctuate the retail space such as grooved bronze rails of varying form and level, directional carved panelled walls and reeded glass enhancements. The predominant shade of green nods to Mayfair’s historic Clubland, a stone’s throw from their first flagship store on Jermyn Street. Linen plays an important part, lining the display cases and wrapping the shelves — a texture not far removed from the calico used in tailoring ateliers.
The retail space is purposefully pared back for a clean uninterrupted view from arrival through to acquisition, encouraging the customer to touch, engage and experiment with the collections.
