The Finery
Sybarite worked with Emaar and Lambert + Associates to derive the name, brand identity and interior architecture for a prospective new luxury department store focussing on wellness, beauty and fragrance in The Dubai Mall.
The idea of The Finery was to devise and ultimately define an identifiable house style for the space which would set it apart as a must-visit destination in its own right in relation to the wider area.
The interior architecture and retail design were crafted to evoke an emotional connection with the space, to seamlessly encourage the customer to respond intuitively by immersing themselves in the varied and exclusive product offer.
The brand name and interiors were driven by the concept of alchemy and the magical connection of mind, body and soul. This is reflected in the neutral tones, materiality, glowing light levels, curved sculpted and detailed architectural elements: sensuous, soft and enveloping.
Sybarite’s approach was informed by in-depth trend research with a view to disrupting the market concept-wise and bringing to the UAE brands which were not previously available so as to enhance the customer experience and their sense of discovery.
